Shortly after the loss of the Nebraska volleyball team, Rebekah Allick's friend, Alexa, shared a message of support on social media. The Huskers fell short of advancing to the national semi-final round after being bested by Texas A&M.
The latter shared a video that featured multiple moments with Allick on and off the court. She penned a lengthy note, opening up about her bond with the middle blocker.
"Yesterday, my heart broke for hers — she wanted that win so badly. Yet even in that intensity, she controlled what she could, encouraged every player, trusted her training, and never let her team lose hope. She’s a beautiful example of how strength and vulnerability can coexist and create more depth. Allick's comment on InstagramThe Nebraska volleyball team showcased their dominance throughout the year, as they remained undefeated till their last match of the season. They entered the regional final round with a streak of 33-0; however, their hopes of progressing to the nationals and maintaining their streak were dashed by Texas A&M.
The latter stunned the audience by claiming a 3-2 (25-22, 25-22, 20-25, 35-37, 15-13) win. This loss led to Nebraska's elimination from the NCAA volleyball championships.
Rebekah Allick made her feelings known about the Nebraska volleyball team competing against Penn State
During the regular volleyball season, the Nebraska volleyball team competed against Penn State on November 28, 2025. The Huskers faced a major heartbreak during the 2024 NCAA semi-finals after being defeated by Penn State.
Ahead of their match in the 2025 season, Rebekah Allick sat for a press conference, where she opened up about how Penn State is a strong team. Along with this, she also made her feelings known about looking forward to competing against them, and talking about the fans' craze about the game, she said:
"Good old rematch. I mean, Penn State is a great team. Obviously, there is a lot of lore there, and we're not the ones to shy away from fun conversations, and I think it's going to be a really good game and really good atmosphere, too. The fans would be into it. Also, there's like a theme at play. So, just a lot of hype around the match, and personally, I think that this team does really well off that.
