Rebecca Sramkova vs Kamila Rakhimova preview
Rebecca Sramkova and Kamila Rakhimova find themselves just one win away from the main draw of the 2026 Brisbane International. The two will lock horns in the final qualifying round match.
Sramkova, the third seed in qualifiers, enjoyed a career-best season in 2025. She peaked at new best ranking of No. 33 midway through last year, courtesy some big wins on grass. Her strong showing at the back-end of 2024 (when she made three Tour finals and won a title) also contributed to her rise.
The Slovak posted a dominant 6-4, 6-2 win over Lizette Carbrera in the previous round to begin the new year on a solid note and will look to build on that.
Rakhimova recently won a WTA 125k title. (Source: Getty)Rakhimova, meanwhile, also comes into 2026 in good touch. She had won a WTA125k title in Angers in December last year, returning to the top-100 of the world rankings after an otherwise underwhelming season.
The Uzbek has been ranked as high as No. 60 and enjoys playing on hardcourts. She was a 6-2, 6-2 winner over the big-hitting Astra Sharma in her first match.

Rebecca Sramkova vs Kamila Rakhimova prediction
Sramkova has a career-best season in 2025, (Source: Getty)Both Rebecca Sramkova and Kamila Rakhimova possess similarly well-rounded games. They are two of the fittest players on Tour and have the weapons needed to turn up the ante during a match.
Sramkova, in particular, can deal a lot of damage with her big serve when dialled in. And luckily for her, she is looking good in that department, having already hit seven aces in her opener.
Rakhimova, on the other hand, dropped seven double faults to no aces in her first match. She will need to improve on those numbers against Sramkova.
The Slovak will come into the contest looking to be the aggressor. She went for her shots in the last match as well, creating 16 break chances. While she will need to be better at conversion (was 50% against Lizette Carbrera), the conditions and the form do favor her to come through.
Prediction: Sramkova in three sets
