Reba McEntire picked the 2025 Emmys to show off her engagement ring from fiancé Rex Linn for the first time, her Happy's Place costar having popped the question after five years of dating.
Reba McEntire and Rex Linn Confirm Engagement at Emmys 2025
So you're not the last one to know, Reba McEntire is engaged.
Millions of people were wondering after the Grammy winner showed up at the 2025 Emmys with longtime boyfriend Rex Linn and a spankin'-new ring around that finger.
And then the couple confirmed the happy news to Live From E!: 2025 Emmys correspondent Zuri Hall on the red carpet before the Sept. 14 show began. (See all the fashion and jewels from the Emmys red carpet.)
After Zuri referred to Rex as Reba's fiancé, the country singer noted, "We're having a blast on Happy's Place and so glad to be here tonight."
More details to come, to be sure.
Reba and Rex have been dating for five years, and why not pick a big stage to share the love?
While her jeweled band was noticeable on the red carpet, the bauble was easier to see once she took the stage with Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman to perform "Thank You for Being a Friend" in tribute to The Golden Girls and then present Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
This will be the third marriage for Reba, who was previously married to Charlie Battles and Narvel Blackstock.
And she wasn't in any big rush to tie the knot again, but was open to the possibility.
"If that's something he feels totally strong about, that's fine with me," she told E! News in April 2024. "He's never been married before. So, if he wants to experience that, I'm OK with that."
But Reba also continued to feel grateful for what they had.
"We’ve been together for almost five years. And my health is good, his health is good," she told Us Weekly last October. "My family is healthy, What more could I ask for?"
At the same time, the 70-year-old continued, "Rex and I are best friends. We have the same likes and dislikes. We’re foodies. We love to cook. We each wanted to be a cowboy and cowgirl. Then we got into the entertainment business instead. Our dynamic works on and off-screen.”
They have continued to feel right at home on the range, plus, Rex brings something a little extra to the table.
"He's a better cook than I am, so I like that, for sure," Reba told Fox News Digital in May about their endgame-level compatibility. "We love Longhorns, we love the cowboy way of life, cowgirl way of life, and we both got into the entertainment industry."
"He's an actor. I'm a singer," she continued. "I love to act. Now we act together. So it's just the perfect union, absolutely. And we get along great. We do argue now. We argue a lot, but we have fun doing that too."
And since they were already acting like a married couple...
