Andrade El Idolo is finally able to wrestle again after leaving WWE earlier this year. Now, Sportskeeda Wrestling can exclusively report on the reason this is possible.

EXCLUSIVE: Update On Andrade After Leaving WWE

Sources close to Sportskeeda have informed the site that Andrade is able to wrestle once more from December 13, and he is set to do so as well. The star is going to be facing Xavant in the World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico for the WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship. He is immediately starting off big with the title match and this could mean that he's champion before another 48 hours have passed.

As for the reason that he is finally allowed to wrestle, given previous difficulties he faced when appearing for AEW with a non-compete clause, sources close to Sportskeeda have informed us that his attorney has reached an agreement so that the star will be able to wrestle in Puerto Rico exclusively going forward. His legal team was in negotiations with WWE over making this happen, and they have been able to reach an agreement.

This means that the star can wrestle in Puerto Rico starting from December 13, but only Puerto Rico. This means no AEW, no Japan, no Mexico, and no other appearances anytime soon.

Andrade El Idolo left WWE earlier this year

The star had returned to WWE in January 2024 as part of the Royal Rumble match. He was part of a few storylines, but never really a regular part of WWE programming.

Eventually, he teamed with Rey Fenix and it seemed that was the direction planned for him. Unfortunately, he lost the tag team match and that was his final match in company. He left the company soon after, when he was released by WWE.

He appeared in AEW in October, but was then taken off TV, because apparently his appearance violated a non-compete clause with WWE. Therre have been reports that his non-compete is up to a year.
