Former Detroit Lions safety Tracy Walker has been suspended by the NFL and the reason behind it remains unclear.
According to the league's transactions wire on Wednesday, Walker has been suspended for 12 games, but no reason was given.
Walker was a third-round pick of the Lions in 2018 and spent six seasons with the team before he wasn't re-signed in 2024.
Walked latched on with the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad last year but was released in late September. He didn't play a single regular-season snap in his brief stint with San Francisco.
Walker, who remains a free agent, is going to have a tough time finding a new home in the wake of this suspension. He'll be eligible to return in Week 13.
