‘Real Housewives of Rhode Island’ star Kelsey Swanson explains ‘unorthodox’ relationships with 2 ‘wonderful’ boyfriends

“Real Housewives of Rhode Island” star Kelsey Swanson is explaining how she juggles her “unorthodox” relationships with two boyfriends.

During the show’s premiere Thursday, Swanson explains that her primary partner, whom she lives with, “dates multiple people” and lives in Miami “for the first half of the year.”

“When he’s in Miami, he’s with somebody else,” she says in a confessional, adding, “He is who he is, and either I accept it, or I have to leave.”

“My relationship is very unorthodox,” she acknowledges.

But in a trailer for the upcoming episodes, Swanson teases that while her boyfriend is seeing other people in Miami, she is striking up another relationship herself.

“The two people in my life are the most wonderful people ever,” she says in the trailer, prompting her co-star Rosie DiMare to react with, “Now you’re saying that you do have two boyfriends. Like, what?!”

Unsurprisingly, Swanson’s untraditional arrangement sparks a discussion amongst the rest of the cast, with DiMare seemingly the most bothered by her multiple relationships.

While the women gossip about Swanson’s unique circumstances during a picnic she didn’t attend, DiMare labels her a polygamist.

“I thought Kelsey was that,” she says. “Her boyfriend has a girlfriend here and a girlfriend in Florida, no?”

Though Swanson is keeping her main man’s identity a secret, she reveals that his family is “probably one of the most prominent families in the state of Rhode Island,” which allows her to live a lavish lifestyle without having to work.

“I live a life of luxury and I’ve been lucky to be a lady of leisure for 10 years now,” the former Miss Rhode Island continues.

“Living in a 16,000-square-foot home, the house literally has everything I need. Four kitchens, 79 TVs, the closet, best part. We have to stay in a different zip code just to get to the bedroom.”

Her arrangement may not last for long though, because during the premiere, Swanson also admits that she wants to be in a “committed relationship” at this point in her life — and she didn’t clarify which boyfriend she wants that with.

“I’m at that crossroads where I just hit 30 and I want more from myself. I want to be in a committed relationship with one person,” she says, noting that the mystery man she lives with won’t change.
