Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have confirmed their player retentions for WPL 2026. The 2024 champions have retained skipper and star batter Smriti Mandhana, seasoned Australian batter Ellyse Perry, dynamic keeper-batter Richa Ghosh and young off spinner Shreyanka Patil. The deadline for announcing retentions ended on Wednesday, November 5, but the list was out on Thursday.

RCB skipper Mandhana has been retained for ₹3.5 crore, Richa for ₹2.75 crore, Perry for ₹2 crore, and Shreyanka for ₹60 lakh. For the 2026 edition, WPL has allowed teams to retain a maximum of three capped Indian players, a maximum of two overseas players, and a maximum of two uncapped Indian players.

In case a franchise opts to retain five players, at least one of them should be an uncapped Indian player. Further, franchises have been given the option to use the right-to-match (RTM) option at the WPL 2026 auction to buy back a player. Since RCB have retained four players, they have one RTM left for the auction.
