Ravens strength of schedule 2025: Baltimore has advantage over most of AFC North

4 hours ago 1

For the Baltimore Ravens, this offseason was about maintaining the status quo and gearing up to contend again in 2025.

That's exactly what the team did, as Baltimore wasn't a big player in free agency, but the moves the team did make were smart. For example, re-signing star left tackle Ronnie Stanley was huge, and veteran additions DeAndre Hopkins and Chidobe Awuzie should contribute on the offense and defense, respectively.

In the 2025 NFL Draft, the team added a whopping 11 players, with several of those players likely on pace to contribute as rookies. Notably, the team selected safety Malaki Starks in the first round and edge-rusher Mike Greene in the second.

The roster is among the league's most complete, which is a good thing considering the Ravens have a tough 2025 schedule.

Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis has revealed his strength of schedule rankings for 2025. Sharp uses projected team win totals from Vegas oddsmakers to decide his rankings, whereas other models use 2024 win percentage.

Using 2024 win percentage fails to account for any improvements teams made this offseason, making implied 2025 win totals a more reliable metric.

In Sharp's rankings, the Ravens have the No. 21 strength of schedule, meaning only 11 teams are projected to have a tougher slate than the Ravens.

While it sounds bad that the Ravens have such a tough schedule, it's not as bad as it seems. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns both have tougher schedules, coming in at No. 24 and No. 31, respectively.

The Cincinnati Bengals are the only divisional opponent with an easier schedule, as the Bengals have the No. 17 SOS.

We don't know what order the Ravens will play their opponents in just yet, but we do know who their opponents will be:

  • Home: Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Los Angeles Rams
  • Away: Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs

As always, the Ravens will play two games against each of their AFC North foes. Additionally, the team will play against the AFC East and NFC North.

With games against the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills, and Kansas City Chiefs, it's not hard to see why this schedule is considered to be so tough.

Factor in that the Bengals and Steelers should both be improved and there aren't too many "easy" games in this slate.
