Ravens predicted to cut ties with $97 million former All-Pro defender in trade with Giants

The Baltimore Ravens and New York Giants have been linked for a potential trade involving a former All-Pro cornerback.

Discussing bold predictions for the 2026 NFL offseason, YardBarker's Seth Trachtman predicts the Ravens will trade defensive back Marlon Humphrey to the Giants, reuniting him with his old coach, John Harbaugh.

Here is what Trachtman had to say about Humphrey and his potential fit in New York:

"The veteran Humphrey is heading into his walk year with Baltimore, and a trade could free up cap space for a team that needs it. John Harbaugh would likely welcome him in New York, where the Giants secondary could use work."

Humphrey is entering the final year of his $97 million contract in 2026, and Baltimore could look to move on from the veteran a year early before his contract expires.

Though Humphrey is still a plus starter for the Ravens, he did struggle in coverage at times in 2025, and Baltimore could save $20 million by moving on from him with a post-June 1 designation.

If the Ravens put Humphrey on the trade block, the Giants would be a logical fit. The versatile veteran, who can play in the slot and on the boundary, would immediately step in as a starter on New York's defense and provide solid play.

In 15 starts this season, Humphrey snagged four interceptions. Just two years ago, in 2024, the 29-year-old earned his second All-Pro nod with six interceptions.

New York doesn't have a third-round pick in April's draft, but general manager Joe Schoen should still inquire about Humphrey's availability and see if he can bring in the four-time Pro Bowl corner to New York to bolster Harbaugh's secondary.
