Ravens' Lamar Jackson issues continue into yet another week of practice

This has to have been the weirdest season of Lamar Jackson's NFL career.

Every week, he misses a day or two of practice, seemingly always with something keeping the Baltimore Ravens' superstar quarterback on the sideline.

This week, Jackson wasn't even at the facility on Wednesday.

Why?

Ravens coach John Harbaugh explained that Jackson stayed home with a "flu deal."

Jackson hadn't yet had illness on his practice absence bingo card, so he can check that off now.

The Ravens head into Week 16 with a one-game deficit in the AFC North standings. The Steelers are 8-6, and the Ravens are 7-7.

Baltimore won't be getting to the playoffs as a wild card, so chasing down Pittsburgh is the only way into the dance.

The Ravens have a difficult one coming up. They'll take on the 11-3 New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football in Week 16. It is a home game for Baltimore.

It doesn't get much easier with a trip to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers in Week 17.

Then it's to Pittsburgh to rematch with the Steelers in Week 18 in a game that could have a lot riding on it.

Jackson hasn't put up his usual prolific numbers this season even healthy, but there's still time for him to rescue the Ravens' season. That is, if he can get healthy.
