New York won the Spurs 124-113 after trailing for much of the game. They took control in the fourth quarter, where they outscored the Spurs 35-19 to secure the victory. OG Anunoby led New York with 28 points, nine rebounds and three assists, and Jalen Brunson added 25 points, four rebounds and eight assists.
They intend to acknowledge the Cup win with fans at their next home game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday.
Spurs rookie Dylan Harper chipped in with 21 points and seven rebounds. Victor Wembanyama added 18 points and six rebounds.
Jalen Brunson was named NBA Cup MVP. The title marked the team’s first major title since winning a conference title in 1999.

The New York Knicks (18-7) have won nine of their last 10 games and will use the Cup win as motivation for a championship-run.
