Ravens get confidence boost in offensive rankings

There's no denying that the Baltimore Ravens' success hinges on Lamar Jackson, and, in truth, it is the same for other teams that also boast an elite quarterback.

But Lamar has it all in front of him in 2026. A new head coach, new coordinator, has seen his starting center and his two promising tight ends leave, and now he has to get this team back to the playoffs.

Talk about a tough task.

However, we know that if Lamar has a clean bill of health, the Ravens are a contender, and for Fox Sports' Ben Arthur, he has Baltimore's offense ranked as the seventh-best in football.

"With a healthy Lamar Jackson, the sky is the limit for the Ravens’ offense," Arthur wrote. "There have been some significant changes in Baltimore — playcaller Todd Monken is gone, as well as several key contributors — but the run game could see a boost with the additions of first-round pick Olaivavega Ioane and veteran John Simpson at guard.

"The Ravens also grabbed much needed wide receiver depth behind Zay Flowers in mid-round picks Ja’Kobi Lane (third round) and Elijah Sarratt (fourth round)."

Could Ravens be offensive-first team in 2026?

They had to be in the first half of last season, and it didn't work out too well, starting 1-5, but things tightened up in the second half of the year.

I struggle to see how the Ravens can be anything other than a top defense with Jesse Minter at the helm. Yes, a first-time head coach, there will be growing pains, but if Lamar and Co. can hold up their end of the bargain, Baltimore could have a balanced team.

I don't think this Ravens defense under Minter will be giving up 30+ points a game like last season's defense did. So, Lamar and Co. might not need to score many points to win games, which will be refreshing.

The ideal scenario is the Ravens only have to open up the offense when it is needed, which we know they can do, but don't have Lamar doing the heavy lifting on offense...even though he's shown he can do it.
