Rams' WR made $1.7 million per catch this season

The Los Angeles Rams have a ton of talented offensive players.

One who was used a lot less this season than maybe expected was Tutu Atwell, the speedster.

In fact, Atwell may have been paid as much per catch as any player in the NFL this season.

Atwell appeared in 10 regular season games for the Rams.

In those 10 games, he had six catches.

His salary was $10 million.

That works out to $1.67 million per catch.

He did get a whopping 192 yards on just six catches, with multiple big plays in the mix, so at least he made the most of his opportunities with the football.

Atwell is still healthy, too, so he can add to this with big contributions potentially in the NFC Championship Game or the Super Bowl.

This was a one-year deal for Atwell, technically broken up as a $5 million signing bonus and a $5 million salary.

He'll be a free agent after the season, and it seems unlikely he'd get paid quite this much, even if you factor in potential special teams contributions.

Atwell surely would've loved to catch more passes, too. It's not like football players want to be on the sideline and get paid for not making plays.

But it's quite the wild stat for this season, at least.
