The Thursday night contest between the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams begins the second week of the fantasy football playoffs and weather could play a factor.
The game will take place at Lumen Field and players on both teams could be dealing with high winds and rain during the contest, which will obviously negatively impact quarterbacks, tight ends, wide receivers and kickers.
On the flip side, high winds could be a positive for running backs if it forces the Rams and Seahawks to lean more on their rushing attacks.
Here's a look at what we know about the forecast for tonight's game between the Rams and Seahawks.
Rams vs. Seahawks weather forecast
According to AccuWeather.com, there will be steady winds of 14-17 miles per hour during the game, but wind gusts could reach as high as 33 miles per hour, which is going to impact anything in the air, including passes and field goals.
While wind is bad for the passing attacks and kicking games of both teams, it could also lead to increased work for running backs.
There's also rain to worry about, with precipitation expected in the second hour of the game that could last through the final whistle.
Slick conditions make it harder for players to grip and catch the football, increasing the likelihood of errant passes and drops, and poor footing is a concern for kickers and could lead to botched field goals and extra points.
Fantasy starters potentially negatively impacted: QBs Matthew Stafford and Sam Darnold, WRs Puka Nacua, Davante Adams (if he plays) and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and TE Colby Parkinson.
Fantasy starters potentially positively impacted: RBs Kyren Williams, Blake Corum and Kenneth Walker.
If any of these players have been studs for you lately, you're starting them no matter what, but just temper expectations if Mother Nature doesn't play nice on Thursday night.
