Rams receive massive $154 million Puka Nacua contract projection

The Los Angeles Rams are in the NFC Championship against the Seattle Seahawks, and they've gotten there on the backs of Matthew Stafford being great and the WR duo showing up when it matters most.

Davante Adams is great, but what Puka Nacua has done this season is nothing short of remarkable. But, with the Rams WR in his third season, his looming free agency is a real issue to be wary of.

Spotrac.com has a contract projection for Nacua, and while the Rams' wide receiver won't be a free agent until after the 2026 regular season, getting out ahead of it wouldn't be a bad idea. And as of now, the Rams might be on the hook for $154 million on a mega-deal.

Rams get $154M contract projection on Puka Nacua

Nacua is projected to get a massive $154,082,812 contract based on Spotrac's Market Value. This deal would be over four seasons, which would come out to around $38.5 million per-year.

It's a massive deal for Nacua, but it would be worth it for the Rams. Getting a receiver as good as Nacua is incredibly challenging, and his production is more than worth it.

This season, Nacua has 129 receptions (the most in the NFL), 1,715 receiving yards (behind only one other player), and 10 touchdowns. He also leads the NFL in first-downs this season, with 80 on the year.

But, the most impressive statistic for Nacua, which should be proof the Rams need to pay up to keep him, is that Nacua is the NFL's all-time receiving yards per-game leader, with Nacua averaging 95.3 yards per game in his NFL career.

This season, he had a ridiculous NFL-best average of 107.2 yards per game. Players like Nacua are hard to find, and the Rams should have no qualms about spending a fortune to extend him in the coming year.

There's time to work out a deal, but with how much his final total will come to, there's no reason to wait, especially with fellow NFC West superstar WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba also seeking a major extension.
