Rams predicted to sign star Pro Bowl safety in 2025

The Los Angeles Rams are in an extremely tight race for the NFC West division crown. The Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks are all 5-5, with the Arizona Cardinals leading the group at 6-4. It's going to come down to the wire, with the Rams set to face each team one more time before season's end.

Their defense has stepped up as of late, especially with the emergence of rookies Jared Verse and Braden Fiske on the defensive line. One of their more underrated signings of the offseason was safety Kamren Curl, who's under contract through 2025. They also drafted Kam Kinchens out of Miami, who's shown flashes so far this season.

How about boosting the backend of their secondary in 2025 with a plash signing? Bleacher Report predicted that the Rams will ink Justin Simmons next offseason.

While Snead's days of chasing big-name veterans may be over, he'd be wise to take a long look at Falcons safety Justin Simmons. The former Bronco and two-time Pro Bowler is having one of the best seasons of his career as a coverage safety in Atlanta. While Simmons may not be a bargain free agent for the second consecutive offseason, the Rams are projected to have $48 million in 2025 cap space.

Simmons in Los Angeles would be a major move. He has 40 tackles, four passes defended and one interception for the Atlanta Falcons this season. The two-time Pro Bowler somehow hasn't been named to a First Team All-Pro list yet, but could make that happen if he joins the Rams in the offseason.
