The Los Angeles Rams' quarterback position right now is set with Matthew Stafford, but he is 38 years old, and while he's back for 2026, beyond that is anyone's guess.
So, it would make sense for Sean McVay and Co. to begin thinking about life after Stafford, and yes, Stetson Bennett is on the roster, but someone else might have just become available that could interest L.A.
And that's Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson, after he and the franchise reportedly agreed to seek a trade away.
And CBS Sports' Garrett Podell thinks the Rams would be an enticing proposition for Richardson.
"A quarterback with Richardson's eye-popping traits working with one of the NFL's top scheme lords could bring the 23-year-old's pro career back to life, and he could allow Los Angeles to not skip a beat post-Stafford after some refinement with McVay," Podell wrote.

Could Rams really go after Richardson
Absolutely, and if they did, the Rams likely wouldn't bring back Jimmy Garoppolo, who signed a one-year deal last offseason.
That would give the Rams a backup quarterback battle of Bennett and Richardson to see who could take over from Stafford.
Granted, this is purely speculative, but McVay with Richardson in his offense is a tantalizing thought, and McVay would need to polish off the rough edges in Anthony's game, of which there are many.
But it could be just the move to revitalize Richardson's career, and he could develop into something under McVay; the Rams could be set for the next decade at quarterback.
