The Los Angeles Rams are well known to be going all-in for the 2026 NFL season with Matthew Stafford returning for what's likely his final year.
They've already addressed the cornerback room, trading a first-rounder and more to the Kansas City Chiefs for Trent McDuffie, and then following it up with signing Jaylen Watson, another former Chiefs cornerback. But now, they're linked to offensive upgrades.
According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Rams, alongside continued interest from the New England Patriots, are making a "strong push" for Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro wide receiver A.J. Brown in a trade.
Rams, Patriots making 'strong push' for Eagles' AJ Brown
"The same two teams, the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams, are making strong pushes to land Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown," Russini reports. "Nothing has been agreed to at this time as negotiations continue, but both teams continue to show heavy interest."
There hasn't been a team more often linked to a player in a trade like the Patriots have been with A.J. Brown this offseason.
Ever since the offseason began, and even well before the NFL Scouting Combine, the Patriots have been linked to Brown in a trade.
But, seemingly out of nowhere, the Rams have emerged as a possible suitor for Brown in a blockbuster deal. But would they make sense for the three-time second-team All-Pro receiver?

With Puka Nacua and Davante Adams already on the roster, adding another receiver in Brown might not make a lot of sense.
But, if the Rams truly want to go all-in and also have a receiver under contract beyond 2026 (which Adams and Nacua are not), then this deal would make some sense.
Brown has had 1,000 receiving yards every year since coming to the Eagles, and while his 1,003-yard season in 2025 was a step back from his prior 1,400-yard-plus seasons with the Eagles, he's still worth investing in.
It won't be cheap to acquire Brown, but adding someone as good as Brown is something that doesn't come around often. This rumor is an interesting one, as the Rams are sudden suitors in a blockbuster trade for Brown.
