Rams emerging as one of NFL’s most dangerous young teams

The Los Angeles Rams enter the 2026 season with one of the more loaded rosters in the league. The Rams have all the pieces they need to hoist the Lombardi Trophy, which will be right in their backyard at SoFi Stadium this season. 

Los Angeles has what it takes to compete at a high level, not just this season, but for years down the line as well. They’ve drafted and developed talent as well as almost any team in the league, which is why Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report recently ranked their young core No. 5 in the NFL.

"The Rams employ one of the league's older quarterbacks in reigning MVP Matthew Stafford. However, they also feature young centerpieces at almost every other position group. That's because Los Angeles has managed to hit on both high draft picks like Jared Verse and Braden Fiske, and late-round gems like Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams.

"This offseason, L.A. added another young staple by trading for cornerback Trent McDuffie.

"The Rams might have the NFL's most complete roster with Stafford behind center, but they're unlikely to completely fall off if this proves to be the 38-year-old's final season. If rookie first-round pick Ty Simpson proves to be a suitable heir to Stafford, L.A. has the supporting talent to just keep on contending."

The teams ahead of the Rams in this category are the New York Giants, New England Patriots, Chicago Bears and the Seattle Seahawks. 

Rams building one of the NFL’s strongest young cores

The Rams' young core is one to behold, led by their superstar wide receiver Puka Nacua. At only 24 years old, Nacua has established himself as one of the best players in the National Football League. 

The other young players who have excelled with the Rams include Jared Verse, Kobie Turner, Trent McDuffie, Kamren Kinchens, Kyren Williams and Steve Avila, to name a few. 

While many young teams in the Rams' position may lack experience, that is far from the case with this group. In 2026, the Rams will look to become the last team standing after back-to-back seasons of heartbreak.
