Raiders' updated list of 2026 draft picks after Jakobi Meyers trade shows Vegas is loaded

The Las Vegas Raiders made a trade on Tuesday ahead of the 4 p.m. ET deadline.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Raiders are trading wide receiver Jakobi Meyers to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Schefter added that Las Vegas is getting fourth and sixth-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft.

"ESPN sources: Raiders are trading WR Jakobi Meyers to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for fourth- and sixth-round picks," Schefter said on X. "Multiple teams including the Steelers and Jaguars had shown interest in Meyers, who is scheduled to become a free agent after his contract expires this season."

It isn't shocking at all that Meyers has been traded out of Las Vegas. The veteran receiver requested a trade in August due to failed contract negotiations, and even publicly stated in October that he wants to be moved to a new team.

Additionally, Meyers will be a free agent in the spring, and the likelihood of him re-signing with the Raiders after all the drama was slim.

Trading away Meyers and gaining more draft capital for 2026 is a fantastic move by general manager John Spytek. That said, let's take a look at the updated list of draft picks Las Vegas has in next year's draft.

As you can see, the Raiders are absolutely loaded with picks in next year's draft. The franchise now has 10 picks after dealing Meyers.

Las Vegas is stockpiling picks, which is the correct strategy. Pete Carroll's squad is 2-6 on the year, and it's clear most of the roster still needs a rebuild. Trading away an aging receiver on an expiring deal like Meyers for more capital is a savvy move from the Raiders and should help them in the future.

We'll see if Las Vegas makes any more moves before the deadline and add more picks as they prepare for an active 2026 offseason.
