The unthinkable has happened: Maxx Crosby is not being traded to the Baltimore Ravens after all.

The Las Vegas Raiders announced on Tuesday night that the Ravens have backed out of the trade for Crosby, but did not provide a reason why.

It was later reported by The Athletic's Dianna Russini that the reason behind the Ravens' change of heart was a failed physical from Crosby.

"Maxx Crosby did not pass his physical today, per sources. The Ravens get their first round picks back," Russini reported.

It goes without saying this is a wild situation.

The Ravens will now get their two first-round picks back and Crosby's $30 million will be added back on the Raiders' books, at least for now.

This situation does not preclude the Raiders from trading Crosby elsewhere.

Raiders' cap space with Crosby back

According to Over The Cap, the Raiders are down to $37.9 million in cap space with this development. That figure does include most, if not all of the moves the Raiders have made thus far.

But it is important to note that these contracts are fluid and all of the details might not be in, so that number is subject to change.

And, again, the Raiders can still trade Crosby, so that $30 million added to Las Vegas' pay roll might not be there for long.
