The Las Vegas Raiders started the 2026 NFL Draft by taking Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick.
After the draft was over, they dipped into the undrafted free agent pool to double down on the QB position.
They've signed Jacob Clark, the big quarterback from Missouri State:

He actually began at Minnesota but threw just one pass there before transferring.
When Clark arrived at Missouri State, the program was Division II, and he had a record-setting tenure at that level.
But for 2025, they moved up to D-I and Conference USA. Clark looked like he belonged.
He completed 65.7% of his passes for 3,244 yards and 28 touchdowns. He did throw 11 picks, and he added three rushing TDs.
Clark is a fascinating signing because the Raiders would then have to decide whether their depth chart will include two rookie QBs.
They signed Kirk Cousins, so he's the positive veteran mentor, and Mendoza obviously will be in Vegas for the long haul.
Clark will have to prove he can get up to speed quickly enough to be kept around. He's already traveled quite the football journey, so maybe he's made of the right stuff to make it happen.
