Raiders predicted to sign 137-tackle, $10 million linebacker who excels in coverage

The Las Vegas Raiders have seen significant change at the linebacker position this offseason after the team saw both Divine Deablo and Robert Spillane leave in free agency.

Deablo signed with the Atlanta Falcons, and Spillane left for a big contract with the New England Patriots.

As a result, Las Vegas will have a pair of new starters at the position in 2025 in Elandon Roberts and Devin White, but White in particular only played in seven games last season and has had a very disappointing career overall. It definitely wouldn't hurt to add to the position in Las Vegas.

If the Raiders want to add a better starting option, they could look to former Arizona Cardinals linebacker Kyzir White, who was recently predicted by Bleacher Report's Moe Moton to land with the Raiders in free agency.

If the Las Vegas Raiders signed White, he would fill one of their glaring post-draft roster needs. The Silver and Black signed Elandon Roberts and Devin White, two linebackers who played less than 45 percent of their team's defensive snaps last year.

Also, the Raiders' new linebackers have either struggled or seen minimal action on passing downs in recent years. Kyzir White is more equipped to handle coverage assignments in the middle of the field.

While he did struggle in coverage last season, that was more of an outlier for the former fourth-round pick, who has tallied Pro Football Focus coverage grades of 60 or better in five of seven seasons.

White also excels as a run defender, as evidenced by his 73.0 grade in that area.

Signing White would give the Raiders the upgrade in coverage they need, and he would be a fantastic complement to Roberts, who is better when working downhill near the line of scrimmage.

That would also push the other White to the backup role he's better suited for, and having Tommy Eichenberg coming off the bench, also, will give Las Vegas a fairly strong room.
