Raiders must avoid trading for $120M WR, despite how enticing it could be

The Las Vegas Raiders have made it a priority to bring in players who can help out in the short and long term.

Right now, Las Vegas isn't expected to have a great season, but there's a bright future if things go as planned with Fernando Mendoza.

Bringing in Kirk Cousins to help him learn what it's like to play in the NFL was a nice idea by the Raiders, and hopefully, it goes as planned. At the same time, Las Vegas doesn't exactly have a great wide receiver room, so there are some worries about that in the short and long term.

There are ways to fix that with players who are still available, whether through a trade or free agency. Brandon Aiyuk, the San Francisco 49ers' former star, is one of those guys, and Bleacher Report believes Vegas could benefit from that.

“At this point, Aiyuk feels more like a reclamation project than a player who a contending team would be able to count upon. Because of that, a rebuilding team with a suspect wide receiver group such as the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns or Las Vegas Raiders may make the most sense,” Mike Chiari of Bleacher Report wrote.

It's not a bad idea to think Aiyuk could come in and make a nice impact for this organization, but the idea that Vegas would have to worry about his attitude could worry the front office and ownership a bit.

With the idea of bringing grown-ups into the building to surround Mendoza with those types of guys, Aiyuk hasn't shown he can be that.
