Raiders' Brock Bowers takes snaps at new position in return from injury

Brock Bowers is known as a tight end but this season could put him in a new position group. 

The Georgia product has missed the first two weeks of the season after a meniscus trim. The process scared fans and fantasy owners alike but Bowers made his return in week 3 against the Saints. 

But with his return came a new alignment for the popular tight end.

Brock Bowers has been used at outside wide receiver for multiple snaps against New Orleans. It's not a position he traditionally plays but it's yielded some results.

The Athletic's Ted Nguyen noticed this and posted about it on social media.

Nguyen also notes that Bowers lined up in the backfield for a snap as well. 

The Raiders and Bowers have a new head coach in Klint Kubiak this season. Known for his offensive creativity, Kubiak clearly wants his big bodied weapon all over the field. 

Bowers is listed at 6-foot-4, 235 pounds but that doesn't stop him from making big plays offensively. He had the most receptions by a rookie in NFL in history (112) and has a variety of other records to his name.

Could he keep setting records from the outside wide receiver position? We'll have to see if Kubiak keeps lining up his tight end on the perimeter.
