A wave of concern washed over Husky Stadium tonight as promising true freshman wide receiver Raiden Vines-Bright was carted off the field in the second quarter of Washington's game against Purdue with an apparent head and neck injury. The young wideout, who has been a bright spot in the Huskies' receiving corps this season, was stretchered into an ambulance.

Vines-Bright, who has been instrumental to Washington's success, will not return tonight against Purdue after the scary scene.

Vines-Bright suffered an apparent injury to the head and neck area in the second quarter against Purdue. After going down on the field, he was put on a stretcher — with the facemask of his helmet taken off — and wheeled into an ambulance.
