Radio host goes off on Browns' Andrew Berry for Dillon Gabriel draft pick

The Cleveland Browns suffered a brutal loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, 32-13.

Offensively, the team struggled, mustering 13 points against a staunch New England defense.

Rookie Dillon Gabriel saw his fourth career start, and it was a rough one. The former Oregon Duck completed 60% of his passes for 156 yards, tossing two touchdowns and two interceptions, leading to some fans questioning if Gabriel is ready to be a starting quarterback in the NFL.

Daryl Ruiter goes off on Browns GM Andrew Berry

On 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland, radio host Daryl Ruiter went on an emotional rant regarding Browns general manager Andrew Berry and his decision to draft Gabriel with the 94th overall pick in this past year's draft.

"I'm so frustrated that Andrew Berry did this. That Andrew Berry spent a top 100 pick on this guy (Gabriel.) That Andrew Berry and the Browns keep shoving this guy down fans' throats. Trying to tell you 'oh he can play,'" exclaimed Ruiter.

"You're not serious people... I can't do the Dillon Gabriel thing anymore. Put Shedeur Sanders out there. At least you might be entertained."

Clearly, the people of Cleveland, Ohio, are fed up with the direction of their franchise.

Gabriel has not been great in his short stint as the Browns' quarterback.

Through five appearances this season, the former Heisman finalist has totaled 702 passing yards with a completion percentage of 59.9%. His average yards per throw sits at a lowly 4.9, signifying just how frustratingly safe Gabriel is in the passing game.

Sooner or later, we're likely to see Shedeuer Sanders get his shot as the Browns' starting quarterback, but head coach Kevin Stefanski said after yesterday's game that Gabriel will get the start in Week 10 against the New York Jets.
