2.50 ParisLongchamp - Puerto Rico headlines the French 2,000 Guineas

Puerto Rico makes his eagerly anticipated return in a fantastic renewal of the Emirates Poule D'Essai des Poulains at ParisLongchamp.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained son of Wootton Bassett was beaten on his first five outings before breaking his duck the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster in September. He followed up with a pair of top-level successes in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere and Criterium International and should be a warm order to complete the four-timer. His trainer took this prize last season with Henri Matisse, and this exciting colt could prove tough to beat.

Nighttime and Rayif, behind the favourite in the ParisLongchamp contest on Arc day, rate the obvious dangers. The former who should be spot-on for this after his second in a trial, while Rayif missed his intended prep but must be feared for the powerful Francis-Henri Graffard team.

Hankelow looked hugely promising last season winning the Autumn Stakes on his final start and rates an each-way player for Karl Burke.

3.25 ParisLongchamp - Star filly Diamond Necklace bids for Classic glory

Diamond Necklace is the star attraction in a superb renewal of this Emirates Poule d'Essai Pouliches at 3.25pm.

Aidan O'Brien's charge enjoyed a spectacular campaign at two winning her first two starts before running out a comfortable winner of the Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac at this track in October. Following that victory, her rider spoke effusively about her, and she looks tough to oppose for an in-form outfit with Ryan Moore back in the plate.

British raider Zanthos was last seen landing the Group Two Rockfel Stakes and given the runner-up ran a cracker when fourth in the 1000 Guineas, she merits respect under Oisin Murphy.

Others to note include Prix de la Grotte second Narissa, while Billy Loughnane seeks another Guineas success aboard Isle Of Fernandez.

12.50 ParisLongchamp - Unbeaten Gilded Prize steps up in class

Francis-Henri Graffard looks to have another potential star on his hands as Juddmonte filly Gilded Prize heads up in class in this Group Two Prix Saint-Alary.

Unbeaten in three starts to date, this daughter of Frankel is a powerful mover who has caught the eye on all three occasions. She showed her versatility to make all in a Group Three at Saint-Cloud last time and is hard to oppose under Colin Keane.

Aidan O'Brien's Composing was a promising two-year-old winning at this level in August before being given a few stiff assignments. She made a satisfactory reappearance when fifth behind subsequent 1000 Guineas winner True Love at Leopardstown and this extra yardage may suit.

Lapotheose and Evita have place claims.

Best of the rest
