Tonys 2025: Christian Siriano Teases What’s to Come in Project Runway New Season
Law Roach is certainly making it work on the upcoming season of Project Runway.
After Zendaya’s stylist—as well as Heidi Klum and Elle editor Nina Garcia—was confirmed as a judge on the 21st season of the designer competition series, Christian Siriano, who executive produces the show and mentors contestants, teased how Law is fitting into his new role.
“Having Law as a judge is incredible,” Christian explained to E! News’ Keltie Knight on the Tony Awards 2025 red carpet. “because you’re getting very real fashion in the moment.”
Indeed, Christian feels he and Law add similar qualities to the newest season—since they’re both constantly styling for celebrities.
“I’m literally dressing people,” he added, noting of the contestants, “They’re like, ‘Oh, I want to dress Ariana Grande.’ I’m like, ‘Well, I dressed her last week and she’s never wearing this.’ So that’s what I do.”
Meanwhile, Christian emphasized that Heidi’s return to the series this season following her 2017 exit is expanding the represented opinions even more.
“It’s incredible Heidi being back makes it so fun and amazing,” he gushed. “Her and Law don’t like the same things, and Nina doesn’t like the same things.”
Obviously, it’ll make for some great television when the new season premieres July 31.
“They all actually hate the clothes,” Christian joked. “It’s hilarious.”
In addition to his ability to keep his finger on the pulse when it comes to what celebrities prefer to wear, Law’s unique perspective on the industry as a whole after temporarily retiring from styling in 2023 will certainly add to his role as a judge.

"I think that I just finally have the courage to choose myself and self-care," he said of his decision to retire at the time. “And I think mental illness is a real thing and depression—it's just some of the things that I've been fighting and I chose myself this time.”
