The Progen Luiva is primarily based on the McLaren Elva, and Rockstar didn’t try to hide that influence. From the low-slung body to the open cockpit and aggressive stance, it feels like a modern hypercar stripped down for pure speed and spectacle. In practice, it almost comes across as a topless T20, especially when viewed from certain angles.

One of the cooler touches is how the car handles its details. The doors open using the D-pad, and there’s a working rear compartment that pops open to reveal carbon fiber internals. Exhaust placement is also interesting, with outlets both at the rear and near the top, giving it a more exotic feel than most standard supercars.

The Progen Luiva in GTA Online A Safehouse in the Hills also supports a Missile Lock-On Jammer, which makes it safer to drive around in public lobbies, especially during missions or free roam chaos.

Despite some early chatter, the car does not have HSW upgrades. Both the LS Car Meet and locations where HSW options normally appear, and there’s nothing there. As of now, the only car in the entire A Safehouse in the Hills DLC with HSW upgrades is the Vapid FMJ MK V.

Officially, it can only be purchased through the GTA+ Vinewood Garage, but non-GTA+ players aren’t locked out completely. If you have a friend who owns the car, you can buy it directly from them at the LS Car Meet, at least until December 18, 2025.

In terms of performance, the Luiva is fast in a straight line but not razor-sharp in corners. That said, acceleration is strong, and the car feels genuinely quick when you open it up on highways or long stretches.

The engine note closely resembles the T20 but with a slightly sharper tone. In first-person view, it sounds even better, almost leaning toward a high-pitched, near-F1-style sound. The lack of a windshield makes first-person driving one of the highlights of owning this car.
