Prince Harry gives update on how Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are settling into their UK school

Prince Harry has given an update on how Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are settling into school.

“The kids are happy in school,” the royal shared in an interview with CTV on Sept. 25, adding that “It’s been great to be back on British soil.”

Earlier this month, Harry said basically the same thing at a charity event to promote the Invictus Games.

“We’re getting stuck into the work. Kids are in school. We’re happy,” Harry told Hello! magazine at the Invictus Spirit Gala Dinner & Awards in London as he gave an update on the family’s “eventful” past two weeks since their return to the UK.

At another event, the Prince said the family had been going on lots of walks and the children have been enjoying marmite on crumpets.

Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, were pulled from their first school just two days into the term as heavy traffic was straining their security team.

“The decision for the children to move school was taken following a discussion with the family’s security team about the practicalities of their current arrangements,” a rep for the couple told Hello! at the time.

“The parents remain extremely grateful to all the teachers and staff for the love, care and effort they have shown their family,” the rep continued.

The rep added: “This decision should in no way be interpreted as a reflection on the school or the exceptional care the children have received there.”

According to the outlet, the family lives too far from the school, making the commute impractical and unsafe.

An insider said Harry, 42, and Markle, 45, completed security checks before school began but couldn’t test the school run until term started.

“It’s a real shame, because they absolutely adored the school, the kids and their parents,” a source close to the couple told the outlet.

“It was perfect for them in every way and the children really enjoyed their time there. They really wanted to make it work, but they had to make a difficult decision based on the fact that the team couldn’t make the school run operationally secure.”

Parents at the school where Archie and Lilibet are attended have reportedly been issued an “overkill” warning about “the importance of only taking photos of your own children,” while Markle’s phone number was leaked via a parents’ WhatsApp chat.

The couple surprised royal watchers when they announced they were moving back to the UK after several years of living in Montecito, California.

The move also reportedly shocked the kids’ former school in Santa Barbara, California, as the couple reportedly didn’t let teachers know they wouldn’t be re-enrolling them for this school year.

King Charles III released a letter after the move, stressing that his son and daughter-in-law are “private citizens with commercial and charitable interests.”
