Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will have no royal roles once William ascends to the throne, according to insiders.
The Prince of Wales, 43, has been planning his ascension to the throne since becoming heir following his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s death in Sept. 2022.
The future king, who has long championed a leaner monarchy, is reportedly crafting his own blueprint for the next generation of working royals.
As a huge question mark looms over the Sussex camp’s involvement in the monarchy once William becomes King, sources say that Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, will be outcasts to the royal fold under his reign.
“What has struck me the most recently is that he just doesn’t mention it at all,” an insider told The Times of London of William’s attitude toward his estranged brother, the Duke of Sussex, 40.
“It used to be that the family stuff was taking up a lot of space in his head, it was a very close relationship and he was very upset.”
“But he’s not letting it get to him at all any more. It is a change. It’s sad, but it’s a much healthier space for him to be at,” the source added.
The insider added that despite the “anger” he once felt toward his brother following the release of “Spare” in 2023, he is now “indifferent” toward the rift.
The Post has reached out to Kensington Palace for comment.
It’s been widely reported that the Invictus Games founder wants his children to retain their HRH titles, allowing them the freedom to decide in the future whether to return to royal duties or continue building their lives in the US.
Still, it appears as though the future king maintains a similar stance to some fellow Brits, who last month told The Post in exasperation that “enough is enough” — and demanded that the Sussexes be stripped of their royal titles.
According to the report, the same goes for scandal-scarred Prince Andrew, whom William sees as a “risk” and “threat” to the Firm.
Both Charles and William are said to be keen to limit Andrew’s public appearances with the rest of the royals.
When Andrew stepped down as a working royal shortly after his friendship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein came to light, he was kept at arm’s length by Charles and the rest of the Windsor clan.
William has previously signaled that he is carving out his own path as the future monarch.

“I’m trying to do it differently and I’m trying to do it for my generation … I’m doing it with maybe a smaller ‘r’ in the royal, if you like,” he said last year during a four-day trip to Cape Town for the Earthshot awards.
“So it’s more about impact, philanthropy, collaboration, convening and helping people. I’m also going to throw empathy in there as well because I really care about what I do.”
“It helps impact people’s lives and I think we could do with some more empathetic leadership around the world,” the prince added.
Experts believe William may be forced to reconsider his plans for a slimmed-down monarchy, given the absence of his estranged brother, Prince Harry.
