Carli Lloyd is firing back on those criticizing her appearance.

After the USWNT legend — who is working as a World Cup analyst for Fox while pregnant — tweeted about the USMNT’s disappointing exit from the World Cup after their Round of 16 loss against Belgium on Monday, Lloyd offered a critique of star Christian Pulisic, who was asked about his ankle injury suffered in the loss and said, “now I get time to rest, so it’ll be OK.”

Lloyd responded: “You rest when your playing career is over. Period.”

A fellow X user replied, “Looks like youve been resting really good lately big mama.”

Lloyd replied, “I can tell you are a gentleman. Do you always disrespect women? Does it make you feel good hiding behind your keyboard?”

The 43-year-old is expecting her second child with husband Brian Hollins.

Throughout the World Cup, Lloyd has been sharing her outspoken opinions, which continued with her analysis of the American squad post-elimination.

“It’s a bit of a downer for us being out here now after this loss, but I felt like they lost the game before they even stepped out onto the pitch,” Lloyd said. “I’m not sure why, and I don’t know the reasons, but just from the beginning, just chasing, tentative, scared, just not confident on the ball. And I think big-time players – you wanted some of those big-time players to step up in big moments.”

Lloyd continued and emphasized Pulisic’s lackluster performance.

“I gotta be honest, I was a bit disappointed with Christian Pulisic,” she said. “I think whether he wants to be the star of this team or not, we didn’t see enough from him in this particular game and really the whole World Cup. Little glimpses here and there.”

Lloyd, a two-time FIFA Player of the Year, won the 2015 and 2019 Women’s World Cups with the United States, and scored the gold-medal winning goals in the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games finals.
