Cristiano Ronaldo has been left out of Portugal's squad to face World Cup co-hosts Mexico and the United States this month.
The veteran Al Nassr forward has been sidelined by a hamstring injury over recent weeks, although Portugal head coach Roberto Martinez insists his participation at the World Cup is not in doubt.
"No, he's not in danger," Martinez said. "It's a minor muscle injury, and we think he can be back in a week or two. Everything Cristiano has done physically this season shows that he's in great shape."
In Ronaldo's absence, Real Sociedad winger Goncalo Guedes has been given his first national team call-up since 2022.
West Ham midfielder Mateus Fernandes earns a first senior call-up after representing Portugal 18 times at under-21 level.
Manchester City duo Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva have been left out to manage their physical workload.

Portugal schedule for March international break
Portugal will play two games in this break, both friendlies.
They face Mexico at the Azteca Stadium on Saturday, March 28.
Three days later, they face the United States in Atlanta, with the game set for March 31.
