Popular WWE star seemingly announces he will miss RAW

A popular WWE Superstar seemingly revealed that they will not be present for tonight's episode of RAW. This week's show will air live from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

The New Day's Xavier Woods took to Instagram ahead of WWE RAW and seemingly revealed that he would not be featured on tonight's show. The veteran shared a photo of himself and also called out AJ Styles and Dragon Lee in his post. Dragon Lee and AJ Styles defeated The Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh last week on the red brand to win the World Tag Team Championships.

"Well rested. Melinated and moisturized. @_ajstylesorg & @dragonlee95oficial see you next week....#ThankGodForTheNewDay," he wrote.

The New Day hasn't competed in a match on RAW in October. The last time the group was in action on the red brand was on the September 22 edition of RAW. Penta and The War Raiders defeated The New Day and Grayson Waller in a 6-man tag team match on the show. Penta will be facing Rusev in a singles match during tonight's show, with the winner becoming the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship.

Former WWE writer reacts to Xavier Woods' new deal

Wrestling legend Vince Russo recently shared his thoughts on Xavier Woods reaching a new agreement with the promotion.

Speaking on Writing with Russo, the veteran stated that there were several stars on the company's roster that are in similar positions to Woods, and the company doesn't know what to do with them.

"It's not Xavier Woods. There's ten Xavier Woods right now in the WWE. My God! I mean, remember when it was the territories and people came in for a certain amount of time? They knew their start date and they knew their end date. My God, bro. People stay on the roster forever. And there's never anything you're gonna do for these people to give them a second life. And not just Woods, there's ten Xavier Woods in the WWE right now that you can do nothing more with. You've done everything you possibly could with them. They're old, they're stale, and it's time to move on. One of the reasons we're not moving on is we're not creating new stars. That's one of the big reasons we're not moving on. But what in God's name are you going to do to reinvent Woods at this point?"

It will be interesting to see what Woods has planned for next week's episode of WWE RAW.
