1) Mega Venusaur ex

• Move: Critical Bloom
• Damage: 120
• Effect: Poisons and puts the opponent’s Active Pokemon to sleep
• Energy cost: 2 Grass and 2 Colorless Energy
• Retreat cost: 2 Energy

Mega Venusaur ex is the foundation of this deck and excels as a tanky Active Spot presence. With 240 HP, Mega Venusaur ex currently stands as the most bulkiest card in the game. While Critical Bloom’s base damage may not seem too impressive, the Poison and Sleep infliction increases the card’s offensive value. Not only does Poison deal chip damage but Sleep can potentially render the opponent useless during that turn.
