James Harden and Kawhi Leonard sent a silent message following the Clippers' 121-103 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday. Neither Harden nor Leonard made media appearances following their 20th loss of the season.

Clippers beat writer, Joey Linn, shared the news with the community on Monday in an X post. The fans flooded the post's comments section with opinions on the star players' absence.

"No one wants to hear from those old bums anyway," another fan said. "some stars just don't do accountability," another fan said.

Some fans blamed Clippers coach Ty Lue for the team's repeated failures.

"It's insane how Lue and Frank still have their jobs. Ballmer is afraid to fire people who are in deep in the Kawai case," one fan said.

"Soon one of them will request a trade. It’s an indication that they are no longer happy with Ty Lue," another fan said. "Good boycott the team until Lue is fired," another fan said.

Kawhi Leonard finished the game as the top scorer for his team. He scored 21 points, collected four rebounds and dished out three assists. James Harden, on the other hand, finished with 13 points, three rebounds and six assists.

Kawhi Leonard denies playing any role in Chris Paul's departure

The Clippers upset many basketball fans when they waived Chris Paul on Dec. 3. The announcement came as a shock to many fans and CP3 himself, as in November, he had announced the current season to be his career's final dance.

On Monday, Joey Linn asked Kawhi Leonard about Paul's departure and if he played any part it. The Clippers star denied having anything to do with the incident.

"Surprised at it. He’s always been a willing teammate when I’ve spoke to him," Leonard said. "Only thing I could talk about is our conversations. And they’ve always been positive and team-forward. I didn’t have nothing to do with it. I didn’t even know what was going on."

ESPN reported that Paul's style of leadership clashed with the Clippers' management, which led to internal disagreements between the two parties.

After sending Paul home, the Clippers have won one game and lost four. They are on a four-game losing streak and are the 14th-place team in the Western Conference Standings.

If the season were to end today, the Clippers (6-20) would have been eliminated from playoff basketball.
