Pitch made for AEW star Mercedes Mone to relinquish her titles; but there's a twist

Wrestling veteran made an interesting pitch for Mercedes Mone to relinquish her titles. However, the veteran also presented a twist for the process.

The ECW legend, Tommy Dreamer believes Mercedes Mone should relinquish all her titles. Mercedes has been on a roll ever since her All Elite Wrestling debut last year. She recently became the longest reigning TBS Champion and has been winning title belts all over the world. The CEO currently holds a total of 12 title belts.

At Full Gear 2025, Mone will also challenge Kris Statlander for the AEW Women's World Championship. While many fans have been wondering how Mercedes will eventually lose all the titles she carries, Tommy Dreamer presented an interesting idea.

Speaking on Busted Open, Tommy Dreamer said Mercedes should vacate all other titles instead of losing them, but the twist is she should win the AEW Women's World title at Full Gear before relinquishing them in order to solidify herself as a bigger heel:

"I would have Mercedes win. And just to be a bigger douche, vacate every title, which then goes to [her saying], I'm not putting everybody over but due to my hectic schedule, make her a bigger heel. I'm only acknowledging this title, almost like everything you did was a stepping stone to get to what you wanted. But then vacate every other title you have because this is the most meaningful, which then also puts that light in that title for being the biggest one," Dreamer said. [H/T WrestlingINC]

Mercedes Mone is set for a title defense on AEW Collision

Before she challenges the AEW Women's World Champion at Full Gear 2025, Mercedes Mone is slated to defend her title as well. The CEO will put her CMLL Women's title on the line this Saturday on Collision against the luchadora, Olympia, who made her All Elite debut last Saturday.

It remains to be seen if Mone manages to retain the CMLL Women's title on Collision.
