Pistons fans brutally troll Jalen Brunson with ‘flopper’ billboard — but Knicks star gets last laugh

Pistons fans had a message for Jalen Brunson ahead of Game 6 on Thursday night.

But he sent them an even bigger one.

The Detroit News posted a pair of images on social media of a billboard in metro Detroit calling Brunson a “mother flopper” before the Knicks star hit the series-winning dagger late in the fourth quarter to send the New York into the second round of the playoffs.

An anonymous donor had bought the billboard ads insulting Brunson, though it was unclear if they were near Little Caesars Arena, which sits near Comerica Park and Ford Field.

The message to the Knicks player reads: “Brunson, you’re a mother flopper.”

Pistons fans brought their daggers into the arena as well, loudly chanting “flopper” at Brunson late in the fourth quarter.

He answered with 40 points and the 3-pointer that sent the Knicks to a date with the Celtics and the Pistons packing.

The billboards are more family friendly than the comments made by Jalen Duren during the Knicks’ 106-103 loss to the Pistons in Game 5.

Duren said to Brunson during the course of the game: “You flopping motherf–ker.”

And Pistons fans serenaded Brunson with vulgar chants during Game 3 when the Knicks beat the Pistons in Detroit.

That night, fans chanted “F–k you, Brunson” every time he got his hands on the ball.

Ausar Thompson had chided the Knicks star for “selling fouls” after Detroit lost in Game 1.

None of the criticism seemed to faze Brunson, though.

“It’s part of the game,” Brunson said before Game 5. “When you have guys who are 6-foot-7, 6-foot-8, freak athletes, long arms, all that, they’re gonna use that to their advantage. My advantage, I feel like it’s my strength, is the way I’m able to use my footwork and play off-balance and just find different angles to attack.

“I don’t know how else to say it, but I like the way how I’m able to use my body to get off defenders and find ways to adapt.”

Brunson and the Knicks will continue their season on Monday in Boston.
