Cowboys players may have bigger issues to worry about than glare from the sun.
A piece of metal fell from the roof at AT&T Stadium after it had been opened it ahead of the Cowboys’ “Monday Night Football” game against the Texans.
The sizable piece of metal fell near multiple production people, according to Fox 4’s Jeff Kolb.

No one was injured by the falling debris and the stadium roof was closed back up after the metal had fallen to the field below.
The Cowboys have not played at AT&T Stadium with the roof open since October 2022 in a game against the Bears.
“We can confirm a piece of metal came loose and fell to the field (with some additional small debris) while the roof was in the process of opening. There were no injuries. It is being reviewed further, and a decision regarding the ability to re-open the roof safely will be made when possible,” the team said in a statement.
ESPN’s Lisa Salters later reported on “Monday Night Countdown” that a second piece of metal, the same size as the first one, had fallen onto a catwalk above the field.
NFL security insisted that the second piece of metal debris be secured or taken down, according to Salters.
AT&T Stadium officials opted to secure the metal and ESPN aired footage of stadium workers going up and bolting the piece of metal into the catwalk.
The network also aired footage of the first piece of debris striking the field.
The footage showed the sheet of metal tumbling from the roof landing near a suite area and sending people in the area scrambling for cover.
The Cowboys home stadium had been in the headlines recently for another facility-related issue.

After Lamb agreed that there should be blackout curtains to prevent that from happening, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones rather dismissively addressed the topic with reporters after the game.
“So someone asked me about the sun. What about the sun? Where’s the moon? We’re fine. But everybody plays in the sun out here,” Jones said in part.
The irony of it all was that the stadium had curtains up to block out the sun this past weekend when AT&T Stadium hosted the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight.
