Phillies make Kyle Schwarber announcement about historic home run

Kyle Schwarber didn't need the thin Coors Field air in Denver on the home run he hit during Monday night's ninth inning.

It didn't hurt, though, as the baseball soared way out of the park.

In the process, Schwarber made some MLB history.

It was the 300th homer of his major league career, and the Phillies had a cool graphic prepared to celebrate the occasion:

The official distance on Schwarber's homer, via MLB, was 466 feet.

Schwarber's homer was a key exclamation point for the Phillies, who staged a rally and rattled off more runs in the ninth inning to win without even needing a closer.

Philadelphia's season could begin to move in an even better direction, with Aaron Nola hopefully back soon.

As long as Schwarber is swinging like this, they'll have a chance in every game.
