Philadelphia Eagles named landing spot for Pro Bowl tight end in free agency

1 hour ago 2

The Philadelphia Eagles have not one, not two, but three tight ends set to be free agents over the offseason.

Dallas Goedert, Grant Calcaterra and Kylen Granson are all headed for the open market, which could leave the Eagles with a major hole on offense.

Eagles listed as landing spot for David Njoku

The Eagles could look to bring back Goedert, as he has been a key cog for Philadelphia for years and he led the team in touchdown receptions in 2025 with 11. If they don’t bring back Goedert, though, they’ll have to identify a replacement.

Jared Dubin of CBS Sports recently listed the Eagles as a potential landing spot for Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku.

From CBS:

"Not only is Goedert set to hit free agency, but so are Grant Calcaterra and Kylen Granson. So the only tight end left on the roster is Cameron Latu. Whether they want to address the position in the draft or not, they could have a need here if Goedert decides to pursue opportunities elsewhere. The Eagles need to figure out a way to open up the middle of the field for their offense, and Njoku could help them do that."

Njoku has spent the first nine seasons of his career in Cleveland, where he compiled 384 receptions, 4,062 yards and 34 touchdowns. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2023.
