The Cleveland Browns are in the midst of a rebuild, to some degrees. Specifically, they are without a long-term franchise quarterback, unless Shedeur Sanders or Dillon Gabriel pan out, or unless Kenny Pickett makes a shocking leap.
That doesn't mean there is no talent on the roster, though. PFF ranked each team's top three players, and landed on the following three for the Browns:
- EDGE Myles Garrett
- CB Denzel Ward
- TE David Njoku
"What more can be said about Garrett, PFF’s 2024 Best Pass Rusher Award winner?" Trevor Sikkema writes. "He led the league in pass-rush grade (92.8), total pressures (83), pass-rush win rate (23.1%) and pressure rate (18.2%), marking his sixth straight season with an elite pass-rush grade. Ward has dealt with some inconsistencies on a volatile defense, but remains one of the Browns’ top talents. Njoku rounds out the list, having recorded the third-highest non-quarterback WAR on the team over the past three seasons (0.93)."
Garrett is arguably the top edge rusher in the league, while Ward and Njoku remain productive pieces. The Browns still need to find the future of their franchise at quarterback to lead to complete production in terms of wins.
