Lindsey Vonn recently shared a piece of advice for younger athletes, days after qualifying for the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics. This will be the American's fifth overall Olympic appearance.
Vonn was last seen in action on the slopes on December 21, in Val d'Isère, France. In this World Cup Super-G race, she ended up in third place after crossing the finish line in 1:20.60 seconds. This win marked her third podium finish of this season, as she earned the first two in the downhill World Cup race in Switzerland.
Shortly after this performance, the 41-year-old announced her official qualification for the upcoming 2026 Olympics in Cortina. Days after this feat, she recently spoke to Delta in Park City, UT, where she fielded several questions surrounding her likes and dislikes and her mindset. Amid this conversation, she was asked to advise the younger generation.
Lindsey Vonn advised them to believe in themselves and said:
"Just keep believing in yourself. I think a lot of times people are going to say you can't do something or you're not good enough, but you have to believe in yourself. And even if you fall, that's OK. That's life. We all fall. Just get back up and keep climbing."Along with this, the Olympian also revealed her favorite domestic and international ski destinations.
Lindsey Vonn shares important advice on World Mental Health Day
In October 2025, Lindsey Vonn shared some remarkable advice with her followers by penning a heartfelt note on Instagram. She posted a bunch of pictures, which included her skiing, spending time with her loved ones, training, and more. Along with this, she wrote a lengthy note in the caption, emphasizing how people suffer from mental health concerns silently.
Opening up about checking in on our loved ones, she said:
"It’s World Mental Health Day… and I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting. No one truly knows what someone else is going through. We often struggle in silence, putting on a brave face and pretending everything is fine — even when it’s not. That’s why it’s so important to check in with the people you care about."Vonn added:
"I go through things every day that most people will never know about. But when I’m surrounded by friends, family, and teammates who care, it makes life lighter... And through it all, I’ve learned how important it is to hold on to the things that bring you joy. For me, skiing has always been one of those things - a place where I feel free, present, and connected to myself."Lindsey Vonn has always been vocal about mental health issues and also revealed her journey of suffering from depression in her memoir: 'Rise: My Story.'
