It's a new era of Penn State football.
After the Nittany Lions take on Clemson in Saturday's Pinstripe Bowl, they'll officially be looking forward to the future.
Matt Campbell is the new head coach after James Franklin was dismissed midway through this season.
And with Campbell, the established leader from Iowa State, there will likely come a new quarterback.
There's an obvious link here, of course: Rocco Becht, Campbell's QB with ISU, still has eligibility remaining.
The Athletic's Manny Navarro predicted in a recent article that Becht will indeed be the Penn State quarterback in the 2026 season.
"Becht spent the last three years starting for Matt Campbell at Iowa State, and with Campbell bringing his staff with him to State College, it feels inevitable Becht will follow," Navarro writes.

Becht has thrown 64 touchdowns in his college career and passed for 9,274 yards.
He has also run for eight touchdowns apiece in each of the past two seasons.
There are plenty of quarterback options in the transfer portal, of course, and incumbent Ethan Grunkemeyer hasn't even announced his intentions for next season yet.
But the logical link is Becht to Penn State, and this is another informed writer suggesting the same thing.
