Paul Heyman names former Tag Team Champion as the future of WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman recently took to social media to send a message about a popular former champion after this week's Monday Night RAW. The name in question is former Tag Team Champion Austin Theory.

On the latest edition of the red brand's show, Austin Theory told Paul Heyman that he wanted to prove that he would be a good addition to The Vision. The Oracle made Theory team up with Bronson Reed against CM Punk and Rey Mysterio in the main event of the show. The former United States Champion kept his word and won the match via pinfall for his team after hitting Mysterio with a Seth Rollins-esque Curb Stomp.

After the show, Paul Heyman took to X/Twitter to upload a photo with Austin Theory. In the post's caption, Heyman named Theory the future of World Wrestling Entertainment.

"Want to see a glimpse into the future? Well, I have a THEORY! @WWE @TKOGrp @_Theory1 @netflix @USANetwork @peacock," he wrote.

Austin Theory revealed why he wanted to join The Vision in WWE

At this year's Survivor Series: WarGames, a masked man appeared in the final stages of the Men's WarGames Match to hit CM Punk with a Curb Stomp and help Bron Breakker's side win the contest. Later, Austin Theory was revealed as the masked assailant.

Before teaming up with Bronson Reed on the latest edition of WWE RAW, Theory had a backstage conversation with Paul Heyman. During the chat, the former United States Champion revealed that while he was out with an injury, he saw The Vision dominate in the company, which was the biggest reason he wanted to join the fearsome stable.

"I wanted you to know why I was wearing the mask. I wanted everybody to feel my actions before they saw my face. I’ve made some bad decisions. I got comfortable. I got injured. But then I saw The Vision. You didn’t wait for anything; you took it, and that’s me now. I take."

After proving himself in the main event of this week's WWE RAW, Austin Theory has seemingly officially joined The Vision. It will be interesting to see what the Triple H-led creative team has planned for the star's future.
