The New England Patriots had a busy offseason, highlighted by adding weapons for Drake Maye. The Patriots signed Stefon Diggs and Mack Hollins and drafted Kyle Williams and TreVeyon Henderson.
While Henderson, Diggs, Williams and Hollins will all help the Patriots' offense. The team could really solidify a great offseason by adding a superstar. NFL.com's David Carr suggested the Patriots swing a blockbuster trade for Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins. Hill's offseason has been a rollercoaster. It started with him saying he was leaving the Dolphins. He then changed his stance, only to change it again. Now it seems like he is going to be with the Dolphins, but his future is anything but stable.
"However, I'm not convinced Miami will keep him, considering his off-field issues and the fact that the franchise can save nearly $15 million by moving him, per Over The Cap," wrote Carr. "The Dolphins might be wary of trading within the division, but if not, the Patriots and Drake Maye certainly could use Hill's services in the passing attack. New England has admirably overhauled the offense this offseason, and Hill would continue that trend by giving Josh McDaniels a guy who can elevate his attack to the next level due to his speed and field-stretching ability."
Hill signed a three-year, $90 million extension in 2024 and has a $28 million cap hit this year. He is an eight-time Pro Bowler, a five-time All-Pro and a Super Bowl champion. Last season was the first time since 2019 that Hill did not eclipse 1,000 receiving yards, and in 2019, he played just 12 games.
Hill is a game-changer and could quickly change the outlook of the Patriots' season. Pairing him with Diggs would take some pressure off of Diggs, who is less than a year removed from an ACL tear.

Last season, Maye had arguably one of the best wide receiving corps in the league. Giving him Diggs and Hill would be a massive upgrade as he looks to build on his Pro Bowl rookie season.
