The New England Patriots made their stance clear on Stefon Diggs after Tuesday's court hearing. The franchise released a statement addressing serious accusations against its top receiver following proceedings in Dedham District Court.
ESPN's Mike Reiss shared the team's response on X after Diggs made a remote appearance before a judge.
The statement came the same day Diggs' attorneys asked to seal records connected to the case. They pushed to keep the police report away from public eyes during the hearing.

Boston 25 News broke the story. Diggs faces a felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery charges tied to an incident on Dec. 2. It happened one day after the Patriots defeated the Giants 33-15. No additional details have been released.
The team signed him to a three-year, $63,500,000 contract in March.

"As we speak, they're working to come to an agreement on that," DiStefano said.Diggs won't be arraigned until Jan. 23. The timing puts it 48 hours before the AFC title game.
He has recorded 82 catches for 970 yards and four touchdowns across 16 games this season.
Diggs' path to New England took him through three previous stops. Minnesota drafted him in the fifth round in 2015. The Vikings paid him $72 million over five years in 2018 before flipping him to Buffalo for picks that included a first-rounder two years later.
The Bills gave him $104 million across four years before shipping him to Houston for a second-round selection in April 2024. Texas let him walk after one season, and New England scooped him up.
