Patriots aiming for superstar WR to pair with Drake Maye, Stefon Diggs

Drake Maye would certainly love this move.

In Field Yates' latest mock draft on ESPN, he has the New England Patriots picking a potential superstar weapon at the No. 4 overall pick in the NFL Draft.

Yates slots Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter as the newest Patriot.

"Hunter would change the dimensions of this offense if slotted alongside newly acquired Stefon Diggs," Yates writes. "He is a natural playmaker with elite ball skills, catching 96 passes for 1,258 yards and 15 scores last season."

Of course, picking Hunter comes with the caveat of having to decide on his two-way status. He's a top prospect at both receiver and cornerback.

It would make sense for New England to at least use him on offense to pair with Maye for years to come.

For Hunter to get to No. 4, either Cleveland or the Giants would likely have to take a QB at pick No. 2 or No. 3. If he gets there, the Pats shouldn't hesitate.
