A pardoned Capitol rioter has been arrested for allegedly threatening to kill House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries while he spoke at a New York event.

Christopher Moynihan allegedly said in a text that he would “eliminate” the Brooklyn Democrat during his Monday speech at the Economic Club of New York, according to a court filing seen by CBS News.

“Hakeem Jeffries makes a speech in a few days in NYC I cannot allow this terrorist to live,” Moynihan, who was pardoned nine months ago by President Trump, allegedly wrote in the message.

“While inside, Moynihan rifled through a notebook on top of a Senator’s desk, saying, ‘There’s gotta be something in here we can f–king use against these scumbags,” prosecutors said in his sentencing memorandum.
